This hotel is actually called the Zhejiang Narada Grand Hotel. It is part of the World Trade Centre site in Hangzhou. It is near to the Hangzhou stadium, and 10 minutes walk from the old Hangzhou University campus of what is now Zhejiang Univesity. Across the road you can walk up the hill to great views of the West Lake.... More

Old style hotel with bathtub and a lot of wood, that looked dirty, but was not dirty. TV program with all the usual channels, incl CNN, DW, HBO, Cinemax and I think also BBC and Discovery. Internet was free of charge, but very slow, even skype calls were not great, which usually work even over very slow lines. iChat, Facetime... More

Great place stay while in Hangzhou. Although it's not near the Lake or the tourist areas (no Pizza Hut here LOL), it does have a great restaurant, is within walking distance to bars and other restaurants. The front desk staff is very helpful. This is were I exchange my US dollars for RMB's. It's a very fair exchange rate and... More

I have stayed at this hotel many times, mainly for its location and lack of surprises. You get what you expect from a business hotel. Nothing special, but nothing too bad either. The taxi drivers certainly know where to find it. More

My local office suggested this hotel as the Hyatt was too expensive for me. I stayed here for four days and overall the experience was good. The rooms were clean and very comfortable, the rate included a breakfast which had a very large array of food. The location, while not on the lake, was close to a shopping area with a... More

I stayed for 12 nights at this hotel. Staff were very helpful and many of them spoke English. It is a Chinese owned hotel with Western characteristics! The rooms were clean and comfortable and well decorated. The window actually opens. The hotel is located across the street from a lovely garden that one can walk in, in the mornings. It... More

Somehow, this hotel claims to be a 5 star establishment. 99 percent of the staff do not speak ANY English. I speak Chinese, and they still are confused by simple requests. The food is not for foreigners, and the accomodations would barely be called a 3 star hotel in the West. I would strongly recommend a different hotel such as... More

Since I had not heard of this hotel before my hosts had booked it, I was a little apprehensive about their booking. To my surprise, it turned out to be a very good choice. Although not on the West Lake, it was a robust 45-minute hike away and great for the waist-line, important given the evening banquets to come that... More
