Inside the Sofitel is a delightful Teppanaki Restaurant serving the freshest of fish cooked in front of us by one of their trained chefs. Almost all of the sofitels I gave stayed in in china have been worthy of the term 'luxury hotel', but the hangzhou Sofitel is an exception. “luxury hotel”

Sofitel Hangzhou Westlake is luxury hotel. very kind man at check in (but not woman) we want nonsmoking room.. nearby one room open the door & window at that room several mans smoking heavily.. The corridor is full of cigarette smoke!! ㅡ.ㅡ tomorrow same... but the breakfast is excellant..

This hotel is currently under refurbishment and is therefore very noisy between the hours of 9.30am and 6.30pm, in fact we were awoken one morning to drilling at 7.30am. “Nice to stay”

I spent two days at Sofitel. Really enjoyed my stay. The hotel has a perfect location, some clean rooms, nice facilities, quite adequate air conditioning. Staff was helpful but really more English speaking skills are needed. Breakfast was a little worst. Fruit was not fresh enough.

We stayed there the 17th-21st of March. Location is great ,if your primary interest is Westlake. However, none of the rooms have a lake view. Property is dated and not well maintained.
