We had a beautiful quiet room with a proper bathroom (rather than the capsules) which was wonderful after our previous hotel nightmare in Aomori. The staff were helpful and friendly - all the things you would expect from this standard of hotel. But along with that the breakfast was the usual over priced half cold buffet we have come to... I stayed at four hotels and yours was the best. The room was clean, although the bathroom smelled a bit, the food was excellent and your front staff was great. I didn't get a chance to use the Onsen, but I will next time.

Rooms were noisy as hell. Very tiny rooms. Basic, to say the least. Only highlights were pretty public areas, & nice views. 4hrs sleep at most- all nights. Front desk refused to allow me to check out early- without paying for all reserved nightzs.

A convenient location - within walking distance to JR station, JR Sapporo Subway station or Odori Subway Station, Odori Park, Sapporo Factory, Nisho Morning Market. Hotel is very European feel, so are the lifts. Friendly staff. Free Wifi in the room as well.

most of the entertainment. The hotel was a little difficult to find. We were walking with a little luggage while it was foggy and snowing. We ending up actually walking around one side of it until we saw a sign. The building is actually separated into another part, which is why we didn't recognize the one side. The hotel is... More

While the rooms are large and tastefully decorated, service was good and reasonably priced-the location isn't good at all, particularly in the snow. It is a good 10min walk from the JR station so dragging our big bags along the snow in -5 degrees wasn't a great start. If you are in Sapporo for business, definitely stay here. If you... More

I stayed at Standard Single Room which has a great view of Sapporo city. Entrance of room is quite spacious and easy to leave my big luggages. And this hotel has hot spring on 12th floor at the cost of JPY1,500. Even I don't go to hot springs area in Hokkaido we will be able to enjoy nice japanese onsen... More

Our first choice of Hotel in Sapporo was initially the JR Tower but it was fully booked on our dates, 02-05 July. This beautiful, Vienna inspired Hotel was actually our second choice. But other some minor glitches, we were more than happy with our assigned room. The Deluxe Corner Twin room that we had booked, was really comfy and quite... More

A very nice hotel. Located between Sapporo station and the Sapporo TV tower. It’s about a 10-minute walk from the train station and 5 minutes from the TV tower. Rooms are located on high floors. The west side rooms provide a great view of the downtown and mountains in the background. The lobby is beautiful, all marble. Though the rooms... More

Official Description (provided by the hotel):
The hotel is designed to evoke the luxury of late 19th Century Vienna, with the name Edelhof meaning "Manor House" in German. The hotel is built on the site of the former Hokkaido Regional Forestry Office, and to this day there are many reminders of the site's history such as the big leafy trees in the hotel grounds, helping to create the ambience of a traditional Manor House garden. We hope our guests will feel part of the story of classical Vienna during their stay. ... more   less
