It is a very good traditional family owned ryokan 10 minutes on foot from the station. It is the equivalent of a 3 stars western hotel. We were able to book this traditional ryokan via the Japan Welcome Inns and found it absolutely delightful. They have only Japanese-stle rooms, some with en-suite facilities. It is family-owned and although their English is very spotty, they made every effort to accommodate us and make us feel comfortable. They have a communal bath which was clean and well tended.... more
