Keio Plaza is a typical impersonal, identikit city centre hotel catering to both business & tour groups that is a difficult balance to pull off & it doesn't. The pro's are it is well located for access to shopping at Daimaru ( far better than other department stores ) & its sublime food court & other boutique shopping at the... more

This hotel, a few blocks from sapporo jr station, seems to have been the same in the last 30 years. Awful lobby, awful furniture, very old elevators. The only good thing is free internet access, everything else is absolutely not up the price (very high) it costs. I more

The hotel is 1 block away from Sapporo train station. Although it is near a train station, it is very quiet. The hotel is very clean. The room is spacious. The breakfast at the hotel is great - mix of Japanese food and bread/pastries. The train station has a lot of eateries, shops and departmental store (Daimaru). Daimaru's basement has... more

Had a perfectly good stay at the Keio Plaza. Nothing massively wrong with the place, but nothing spectacular about it either. The one noteworthy thing is that this place has about 20 restaurants in it. I kid you not. It's actually ridiculous. They're all a bit pricey compared to average street prices though. And amazingly, the hotel Concierge are actually... more

My friend booked this hotel for me because it is near his University apartment in Sapporo. I paid 16,000 yen a night for a twin room for my son and myself, which is significantly more than I paid at other hotels on this trip, even in Tokyo. My friend says he has got better deals previously. He also sometimes uses... more

I was very impressed with this hotel. My room had evidently been renovated fairly recently and was tastefully decorated. The bed was very comfortable and the bathroom even came with a remote control for the toilet! The room wasn't particularly spacious but hardly claustrophobic either, the only thing I would query is the bizarre window between the bathroom and bedroom. more

Location: Excellent, situated in Shinjuku, one of the largest entertainment district, its only a few blocks away from the JR and Metro station. Within a block you'll find plenty of convenience stores, restaurants, stores, and arcades. Perfect when you don't feel like venturing far from your hotel. Beyond that are large department stores like Tokyu Hands, Mylords, and Takashimaya. Everything... more

My husband and I took our 7 year old son there in Feb 2006. We took the JR train from the airport and realized the 10 min walk to the from Sapporo Station to hotel was impossible with our large suitcases because we had to walk on the snow covered pavement. Recommend to take the airport bus instead. The hotel... more

My boyfriend and I stayed at this hotel last December. We really liked it! The hotel is about a 5 minute walk from Sapporo Station (admittedly, it's not a particularly enjoyable walk in the snow). We had a twin room and it was huge compared to the other hotels we stayed at while in Japan. We also had a great... more

The Keio is a typical Japanese hotel for the Japanese client base. We took a Family rom which is essentially two single rooms knocked into one. Main advantage is that it has two bathrooms. Not too much space to move around but some place to leave your luggage. It has a pool (for an extra charge) but as it is... more
