My mother and I visited Japan back in 2007 and the Karatachi was our first experience with a Ryokan. It is perfectly located near the beautiful Fushimi-Inari shrine and very close to the trains. Didn't want to stay anywhere touristy, and chose this tiny family home near Inari Shrine, and conveniently located for the train to Uji, too.
