Stayed here for 3 nights, we had been very lucky with our hotel choices in Japan before arriving here in Kyoto, therefore on arrival we were slightly disappointed, the hotel seemed tired and the room was small and a bit dingy with no view at all. The lobby was always full, I think that a lot of tour companies must... More

Wonderful lunch. good tasty food in the restaurant, very good presentation. Buffet style starter with some table service (the main course) and buffet dessert. Very good service . The beef we had was very, very good. Lunch overal was very, very good. The hotel rooms were comfy, perhaps a little small and not particularly plush, but the room has all... More

We took two rooms. The first room was a part of the Sunrise tour that we joined from Tokyo; we were given a standard room in the main building. We decided to stay on in Kyoto after the tour was over, and we didn’t want to move hotels, so we booked a premium triple room through the hotel website. The... More

Location can't be better. It's literally across the Kyoto Station. Since my family was in town to see the sights, we really didn't stay much in the hotel except to sleep. So I'd say the hotel met our expectations. Fast check-in/out, rooms are clean and quite sizeable compared to the other hotels we stayed in Tokyo and Osaka. Beds and... More

It is average hotel, but it's location less than 400m from Railway Station makes it a perfect place to stay for one day visit to Kyoto. You can buy return ticket Tokyo-Kyoto with hotel price included. Good deal.

My only reservation about this hotel is that the rooms are small. They are still very well appointed if with slightly dated décor (2 reservations ... there are no more). It is opposite the station and some excellent shopping. Staff were very friendly and offered every courtesy and assistance when requested. It is a bit out of the way for... More

As soon as you walk in you get friendly smiles and greetings. Everyone seems genuinely happy and ready to help you. I booked a king size so the room was small but probably bigger than other japanese hotels. We found it comfortable and clean. The bathroom has many complimentary products which is good. You need to pay extra for english... More

I stayed at this hotel for 3 nights in a standard room on a holiday in japan. I have mixed feelings about hotel therefore to balance review in this case have listed as pros and cons. Cons: - Standard room. 'Very' outdated decor. -extremely uncomfortable matress. Firm is good but lumpy with springs digging into your body every night...horrible. -quality... More

This hotel gets a passing grade only by the mere fact that it has wifi in the room; many Japan hotels do not offer wifi which is inexcusable in this day and age. Aside from that, the room in the new wing is a good size to match the economical price. However, as usual, the room temperature is not controllable... More

Very ggod sized rooms. Hotel is located across the road from the railway station which means plenty of food and shops or entertainment purposes. The batroom a bit on the small size. For a non-smoking room the presence of ashtrays made one a little suspicious of what goes on there. Breakfast not briliant, but OK
