This was an absolutely gorgeous hotel, inside and out. It was perfectly located, close by shops, bars, restaurants, and antique stores. Loved it and quite close to the subway, but with so many interesting stores close by, why subway when you can walk. Absolutely huge rooms. more

I highly recommend the Okura. Its location is excellent. Close to the traditional district and lots of restaurant. The subway is in the basement -perfect for castle and Western temple district-and the bus outside of the hotel gets you quickly to N Kyoto. we stayed at this lovely hotel in may. it was location was great. it was a beautiful hotel and the staff was extremely helpful. The location is close to Gion. There are lots of restaurants located nearby and lots of activity at night. outside. There is a subway right below the hotel. more

This hotel is definately worth it's stars, it had the most beautiful foyer, located right above the subway and the bus is right out front, excellent staff the most helpful concierge I've ever met. Clean and very comfy, we would definately stay again. more
