The ryokan is pretty and in a v good location - right in the centre of Gion (the street behind the ryokan is a unesco heritage site, with the tradinional japanese tea houses). First i cannot even express in words how awesome this place was. Tucked in the quiet historic area of Gion the area around this inn only adds to the experience. It is beautiful and immerse in old fascioned japanese atmosphere, but: Every morning the breakfast was served not later than 8.30 (this was unacceptable after a day of a long trip) and the dinner not later than 19 (when we were not hungry....), the night you cannot come back later than 23.....you... more

Staying in Tokyo on business, used the "Japan Tourist Board" Sunrise company to great package of Hikari high speed train + stay at the Yoshi-ima.
