Do print out a good map of Motonago before you go as our cab driver had difficulty locating the ryokan even with the Japanese address and a simple map. The location of this ryokan is amazing. The streets are from another era and this is area is the Japan of your dreams. We stayed for a night as it was more of a treat at 399 yen. The first thing that hit me was the smell of the tatami mats; very fresh and transported me to the countryside.
