I was in the city to present a seminar in Kyoto University and booked this accommodation for two days on the basis of reviews on TripAdvisor. And, I am happy that it proved to be a good choice. It was not all disappointing and my stay was awesome. Property is very clean and well-kept. Rooms are luxuriously appointed with all... More

Spent 4 nights in a double room. Hotel is small/medium size mainly business style but also a number of tourists given good location. Rooms are standard Japanese business style, small with a plastic bathroom cube. Enough space, just, for 2 with medium baggage. Absolutely clean with all the bathroom "bits", a small fridge, TV with only all Japanese channels. No... More

This was a semi-double room with the typical Japanese business hotel setup. Room was somewhat larger than other rooms we stayed in. It included a large TV, refrigerator, desk, clock, yukata, bath supplies and tea set. Room was very clean and all facilities worked well. No WiFi in the room, but staff supplied LAN cable. Location is good - about... More

Rooms are tiny but clean. The hotel is affordable, not cheap. One will not find a cheap hotel in Kyoto. The location is perfect, just around the corner of the subway. Nice neighborhood with many restaurants. Actually you can walk to Gion in about 20 min.

Very comfortable and clean hotel, friendly staff and no issues, very accessible from the subway. I would happily stay here again when I next visit. Things to note: there are at least 3 Garden Hotels in Kyoto, make sure you locate the correct one before you leave otherwise you could end up stuck for the night, oh and make sure... More

Yes, my room was small but it was perfectly adequate, very clean, and I was very happy with it. The bathroom was cute and spotless. The staff at the hotel were very helpful. Some spoke English better than others but they were very willing to help. I didn't take the Japanese breakfast. Some days walked to the closest Starbucks (only... More

We stayed a night during Golden Week, using two single rooms. For less than ¥5,000 per room, this was an incredibly good value hotel. It doesn't win any prizes for design, but for value it's my top pick in Kyoto. The rooms, while not new, were clean and comfortable, and bigger than many business hotel chains. Notable is that the... We stayed in this hotel for about a week. It's very close to the metro station and you can easily walk to the center. The staff were very polite and they could speak English, which is a very rare thing in Japan. We booked our room on the internet from abroad and had absolutely no problems.

A simple business hotel that offered exactly what we needed: a western room in an excellent location. The metro is just 100 metres, enough great, hip restaurants and bars nearby. Room was just big enough for us and our luggage. We used the basement parking garage for a rental bikes. Free use of internet in the lobby where they had... More

I stayed in this hotel twice, both times on business. It is reasonable in every respect although not outstanding. Location is not too bad, Kyoto Metro Interchange station (Karasuma-Oike) is only about 100 meters away and you can even walk to Downtown Kyoto in about 10 minutes. Staff are reasonably friendly and service is consistent. Free LAN internet in the... More
