Stayed here 1 night. Helpful staff and good service. Location is great; within walking distance from the biggest wooden temple in Japan. We had a room on the corner almost top floor, so the view was great! Almost the same as when you have breakfast on the top floor. Also easy to park your car at this hotel. Overall; good... More

My husband and I spent five days at this hotel and have no complaints at all. Hotel staff speak good English and give excellent service, check in/out was quick and easy, room as fairly large and immaculate and toiletries were good quality. The view of the mountains was nice. This hotel is located in a convenient position, however, it is... More

This hotel is showing its age some. I can’t remember the last time I had a physical key to open my hotel room with. The room is good size though and nicely done. The bathroom looks like a prefab. It gets the job done, but won’t win a beauty contest. They do need to deep clean the carpet in the... More

Not bad for Y10,000 for 2, for Japan a big room and decent sized bathroom. Nice big window with a nice view. Big beds and reasonably soft for Japan, with good pillows (that is not the norm in Japan). Hard to fault for the price but Sheraton Hiroshima for $15 more set the bar very high indeed. Taxi from train... More

No negative claims against this hotel. Ok if you stay one or two nights for business. The location is central, but not in front of the station. Take a taxi if you have luggage, otherwise you can easily walk. The double-rooms-single-use were clean (a bit shabby) and spacious for Japanese average. The staff however is a bit peculiar. The breakfast... More

3 star hotel which has seen better days, about a 10 minute easy walk from station on way to the must see Zenkoji temple, lots of restaurants close by. Staff were really friendly but spoke very limited English so hard to be understood. Room not bad but we had paid for an upgrade (which I would recommend, wouldn't have liked... More

The first thing that struck me about the hotel was that it is old and has probably seen better times. Rooms are clean but is showing it's age. Location-wise, it is about 10 mins wall from the JR station so if you are intending to lug lots of luggage but want to avoid taking the cab, it might not be... More

This hotel has the tiniest hotel rooms that we have ever stayed in. While most travellers bypass Nagano on their way to the snow, we thought that we would see what it was like to live in a small Japanese city for a few days and loved it. The hotel represents excellent value and is very well located between the... More

Good hotel... typical Japanese business hotel, nothing really special about that, but very comfortable and bigger room than other places we stayed. Walking distance from the station on the road up to the magnificent temple. Town is a great base for trips up into the mountains and for visiting the Snow Monkeys. Transport is very straightforward - a bus goes... More

This is a very comfortable hotel and the rooms are a little larger and more comfortable than Japanese Hotels. It is handy to the Nagano Train station, within walking distance even with a roller case. Staff is very efficient and extremely courteous as you would expect. Breakfast is on the top floor of the building and views from there are... More
