My wife and I stayed at Marble Hotel for a night while in transit to our resort, which is a common practice for most tourists since flights to Maldives generally arrive late in the night.

While the island of Male is small, Marble Hotel is literally located on the other end of the island from the jetty, and since there are not so many cabs on the island itself, it took us a good 45 minutesto walk to the hotel on our arrival in Male since the promised transfer from the hotel was nowhere to be found when we arrive, even though this was clearly indicated on the hotel's website and that we have provided all our arrival flight details.

To make things worse, when we arrive at the hotel, we were told that there was no record of our reservations, and that the room type / rate we had booked for does not exist!
