First time visit to the Maldives, excellent late deal via Thomson - two weeks full board. Overall an amazing Maldivian island full of relaxation, beauty and nature, which easily outclasses its budget star-rating. Where the hotel lacks in 'luxury' it makes up in great hospitality, clean airy rooms and an absolutely spectacular house reef (like swimming in an aquarium) and... more

18 May 09 Arrived Male Airport from Singapore without much fanfare except for the pouring rain at 2200hrs. Although visiting Maldives is visa on arrival, , its quite fuss-free clearing the customs in less than 15 minutes. The single big piece luggage that Judith and myself brought was x-ray and opened (they thought they saw some kind of WMD but... more

Just got back after spending 3 days at Embudhu Village over the May labour day weekend. What an awesome island, clean soft sand, so many shades of blue water, very clear and clean. We booked a water bungalow which was very comfortable and clean. Part of the floor is glass bottomed and a lot of curious fish congregate there once... more

Every few years we like to visit the Maldives, so by now we know a few islands, but never before were we so disappointed. Before our trip we reserved a Superior room located between 74 – 81, because the water bungalows were already fully booked but at our arrival we got room 89 which was not nicely positioned and was... more

Whichever resort you choose in Maldives, it must be paradise and relaxation. I believe that Embudu Village would be the most reasonable resort. This is not super gorgeous, still you can spoil yourselves. Why not ? There is an entertainment night once a week. (yes, only one night) Followings are free of charge: Badminton, Darts, Table tennice, soccer and valleyball.... more

We got back from Embudu on Monday on 9th March after 2 lovely weeks. We usually go to Meeru Island, which is our favourite, but we fancied trying somewhere with a better reef. We were in one of the water bungalows for the two weeks and the size and cleanliness was perfect, There as a small kettle with tea, coffe,... more

We went Feb 27th for two weeks, apart from the 24 hour delay at Manchester the rest of the holiday was absolutely fantastic, well worth the hassle in the airport. This was our third trip to the Maldives and have stayed in 4/5 star rating islands, embudu matched this rating and in some areas even exceeded it. We stayed in... more

This was our third visit to the Madives and was the smallest island so far. We really enjoyed it and it has taken over as our favourite so far. The island was small and only took 10 minutes to walk around the outside of the island by the beach. It was our first "no shoes" island experience. It had one... more
