We asked for an extra pillow but never recieved it, the hotel was booked in US dollars and we payed the rest in paso and was charged an extra $25.00 for exchange rate, {RIPE OFF}, the carpet was old & thin our window view was the worst you could imagine, we were charged $75.00 US dollars for this room that was worth no more that $22.00, we were on the 3rd floor The street noise started about 5:00 AM. turn the air cond. on to drown out the noise, well, live and learn more

We chose the hotel because Lonely Planet recommended it as a "high end" hotel that was newly renovated with art deco style. First of all, the front desk never told us upon booking the reservation that a 5000 Peso deposit was required on a 3000 Peso/night room or that there will be a 6% surcharge for credit card payment. The room looked like a Motel 6 with stains on the bed, and the bedsheet was so thin that you could see the brand on the mattress underneath. Amenities, just forget about amenities. The breakfast was surprisingly good, although it may be because it's our first taste of Philippino food. more
