We stayed in the Viewpoint Hotel in June 2009. It is fantastic value for money and many of the guests appear to return year after year. We will definitely go back. The hotel is situated at the top of the village, hence it gets slightly more of the cooling breeze which is essential in the hot summer months. It also... more

The Patara Viewpoint represents excellent value for money with high standards of comfort, cleanliness and service seldom seen in hotels of this size. Anne-Louise and Muzaffer are attentive hosts without being intrusive. The service provided by conscientous staff is efficient and caring. While there are no regular evening meals the twice weekly feature barbecue and Turkish suppers are very good... more

My husband has written the previous review (family Kroela), but I'd like to add some information for worried moms, who wonder if this is a good hotel to stay if you have children. The hotel and the poolbar area are excellent, but there is not much space for children to play (no garden, or (play)ground in the proximity). Neither inside.... more

This was our second holiday in the Patara Viewpoint hotel, our first was in 2006. Since then the hotel has not changed much, neither has the village of Patara. It is a good place to stay for a family with young children. The swimming pool, Ottoman terrace, Patara beach (with tractor ride), very nice country side and the very good... more

We stayed at the Patara Viewpoint for a week in June 2008. Unlike some of the people who have posted reviews on here, we found the proprietor Muzaffer a most accommodating host, even lending us money when we had run out; he was friendly and efficient without being fawning. The hotel was pristine, thanks in large to the footwashing ceremony... more

As its name suggests, the Patara Viewpoint is set in a lofty position, which means a heart-pumping 5-10 minute climb from the village. The views which reward this effort are nothing to write home about... Fire blackened hillsides in the foreground with the famous beach and ruins a long way in the distance. With its faded travel posters and tired... more

We have just returned from Patara this weekend. It was nicest small village I ever saw. Still natural, quiet and beautiful. Hotel is just up the hill with beautiful view of town, valley an of course sunset. Rooms could be improved but they are clean and quiet. I think owners trying to keep that place as their own home so... more

First off, let me just say I've never stayed here! However, after visiting the premises and meeting the owner, I felt I had to add a review. We stayed at the Golden Pension which is run by Arif (the town Mayor and Muzaffer's brother). On our first morning we sought out the Viewpoint to take advantage of the free tractor... more

The Patara Viewpoint was the second hotel we stayed in during our stay in the region. The hotel is situated in the small village of Patara, the road through of which finishes at the pretty conservation area of the ruined city of Patara and the long Patara beach. The Viewpoint is situated on a hill at the back of the... more

Thankyou for taking the time to write a review. We are happy to hear that you enjoyed your stay in Patara and at the Hotel Patara Viewpoint. A couple of points we wish to clarify for any readers of this review. The hotel is named the Patara Viewpoint, not because it has views of the beach or the sea, but because...

We have recently returned from the Viewpoint Hotel in Patara run by Mussapha and Ann-Louise and a great team of staff..... and we are already planning a return trip. The location is superb - near to one of the best (deserted) beaches we have found for a long time and surrounded by archaeological sites. A small swimming pool provided a... more
