Detailed Reviews
We generally had a great stay at the Akkan hotel. The breakfast was excellent, and Can at the front desk was extremely thoughtful and helpful. Rooms are not very large but comfortable and clean. The location is close to restaurants and bars but on the downside, it can be noisy until midnight.

Bodrum is a very charming city with so many wow feelings. But this little hotel was not so good. The room smells. But good staff. They were more kind to us then greek staff at s hotel on Kos. The turkish breakfast n food are really good. But i did not se any variation for breakfast at this hotel. Thought still good breakfast. Hotel has an excellent view against the sea. The thing that i did not like was that the housekeeping staff stole some chocklates from us. The manager was not willing to help us. But i am ok with this but the room had a bad stamdard. But i loved Bodrum very much.

The location of this hotel is perfect. Near the beach, shops and bars/restaurants. We opted for the "Suite" as it was a really good deal. We were so glad that we did, as heaven knows what size the normal rooms are like, as the " Suite" was a small room, plus bathroom. The bathroom was a good size, the shower itself could have perhaps accommodated 4 people...if needed! ( I think the phrase bath/shower with a friend comes to mind!) the room itself was small, the so called mini bar was empty and the TV only had Turkish channels, as the subscription to all English speaking channels had obviously been cancelled. This was not a worry for us, as we did not come to watch TV, but it was advertised as having a fully stocked mini bar and English speaking channels. Under the bed was broken bits of crisps, old socks and just filthy! On the first morning of our stay, breakfast was served in individual dishes, as there were no other guests, but on the second morning, there was a buffet breakfast, as advertised, as the were other guests staying there. It was a very nice traditional Turkish breakfast. We were lucky to have been able to check in early.

We - my boyfriend and I stayed at the Akkan luxury hotel and had a terrible experience. Everything was broken:
1. The water service was not working: the toilet did not work (no water) and from the shower only *boiling* water was coming. It was burning hot, making it impossible to take a shower.
2. The toilet lit/cover was not attached to the sanitary
3. Control for air conditioning did not work. It was only manual and with a temperature already set up
4. There was a mini fridge and the door did not close correctly so it was not useful at all
Also the smell of the rooms was bad. Smelling like broken pipes all the time and people were smoking inside the hotel restaurant.
The front desk man was very kind he tried to help us, invited for a beer, and in the morning (water problem was not fixed) he took us to a different room so we could shower. He tried his best but our experience was terrible, hotel does not take care of facilities. It is sad because the location is perfect

This is the dirtiest hotel ever. Don't be fooled by its name! It has nothing that comes close to luxury. There were so many hairs on my bed shetta and, worse, stains. The beds had been made up. So the management simply ignores basic rules of cleanliness and keeps /re-uses old bed sheets on purpose! The towels were also dirty, stained and stinky! They had such a bad smell. I also found a cockroach in my bathroom! Run away from this dirty hotel whose management has zero respect for basic rules. They simply don't care and the guest will not be able to properly sleep knowing that all is so dirty!

Great location in the center of everything but the room had a really bad smell, like dead rat. Need major repairs in the bathroom, especially the toilet. I hope the management take the review as a constructive criticism because it has potential to become a nice boutique hotel.

Loved the location! In the middle of the centre and the beach! Great staff and clean room! Special thanks to the sweetest Tuanna who had a great and welcoming personality and provided me with a magnificent guidance and support. And special thanks to Can for his great service and friendly personality. I will come again for sure and highly recommend this place.

Beautiful Location, city center, shopping, nightlife all at walking distance.
Staff here are very good and helpful. Mr.Purka you are the best.
No parking available, we parked our car around 200 meters away from the hotel in free parking (walking distance).
The breakfast is just so amazing. They do not have buffet breakfast.
Some people find the rooms small because may be they have not stayed in some other hotels in Bodrum.
We have stayed in Costa Centrale hotel and its yak. Akkan is beautiful and I will definitely return to this hotel in future.
Must try: Do try waffle at Waffle King its yummy.
Take a Segway Tour in Bodrum and you will see the whole area even its residential area which is super cute. We have booked our Segway Tour with Jitka the best tour guide in Bodrum I guess. Aegean Gingers Segway Tours you can google and do book a grand tour of Bodrum on segway and its worth.

I really wanted to like this place and I did at first and you might like it as well just be aware and be cautious of your things.
The good
The place is cute the rooms are a good size. We had a balcony with a view of the sea which was beautiful. Breakfast was delicious. Location was great.
The bad.
The shower had no door so water got all over the bathroom. It is very loud outside with or without closed windows. There is a school and playground directly next to the hotel and there was nonstop sounds of kids playing, screaming, fighting, and crying. The hotel is also next to the main strip where all the people pass at all hours of the day and night singing talking just doing what they can do to keep you awake.
The second day we were there there was a lady complaining in the lobby about how the staff moved all her things into another room, they even opened her safe and moved those things as well. She was very upset and made sure the whole hotel knew. Apparently there were things of hers missing as well. One of the staff came to us to apologize and admitted that his coworker should not have gone in and moved her things. The coworker who moved the things didnt seem to care much about the ladies problem so the lady brought the police who didn't seem to care either. I felt bad for the lady and I hope the hotel reimbursed her for her missing things.
Now my problem was when I left I forgot 2 dresses in the closet. When I called the next day to find a way to get the dresses to me. I was told that Houskeeping did not find any dresses and they asked me several time if I was sure I left them there when I told them I was 10000% certain that I left them they just asked me to write an email and they will get back to me.
I later accepted that houskeeping stole them. The hotel never got back to me and they did not care after I threatened to report them to TURSAB

Hi Bernie,
I dont think so anyone will reply to your email because even I never got a reply from them.
Contact your agent and they will directly contact them.
This property is beautiful :) Enjoy..
We stayed 1-2 July. The couple managing Akkan were expecting their first baby, due in about four weeks. Perhaps the baby has arrived early! She was managing reception during our stay. They may have made a note of your request but haven't let you know, but that doesn't help you. There may also be a written language problem. They are very accommodating and we changed rooms on our previous visit in June. October is off-peak and perhaps it can be arranged on your arrival. Try again shortly. Hope this helps!
