Third time to Turkey, 2nd time to Gumbet. The accommodation was okay for us but not for many that were there. Many of rooms do not have a balcony, just railings across the patio doors. My friend and I stayed at this "excuse" for a Hotel for two weeks last july / aug...... The rooms were dark, small and dingy. The toilet seat was broken and despite being reported, it was never fixed. The furnitue was old, dark wood and was decorated with peoples names carved into it. Was disappointed with the Yildiz Hotel after reading the reviews on here. I stayed over August/September for 2 weeks. The staff were friendly enough, until they realised we didn't plan on spending any time at the hotel, then we seemed to get the cold shoulder from everyone except Mehmet. The postives- nice swimming pool The negatives- rooms disgraceful- very small, wooden,dark Staff are lazy Breakfast is rubbish.very basic,bread and water too many steps trust me dont believe the other reviews.there are far too many steps and it is not suitable for children and eldeley.AVOID more

This was our first time in turkey and it certainly wont be our last. Would recommend the Yildiz. The hotel is clean, comfortable with basic rooms. There are no lifts but the staff are more than happy to carry your luggage to your rooms for you. The staff at the hotel are great and make your holiday a memorable one.... more
