My husband and I went bottom fishing in October and wanted to stay by the pier in case we needed to do more fishing. The hotel was overpriced for October. The rooms were not ocean view. There was a hotel down the road that had ocean front balconies for $20 less. The weather was beautiful, but the room needed updating... more

I just love everything about the Oceanana. The staff is wonderful and there is usually someone there who will remember me by name. I've only stayed there about 5 or 6 times but I absolutely love it. During one of my stays there, I met my current husband and for that I am greatly indebted to the Oceanana. I plan... more

Let me try to address some of the negative reviews: The beds - they may not be truly full-sized. I don't know. But they were comfortable enough. After a full day of swimming, shopping, more swimming and walking the pier, we could have slept on anything. The beds were fine. The facilities - not the most luxurious in town, but... more

My aunt (now 76) has been staying at this motel for 20 years. Last year was the first year for me. I stayed there on three separate occasions. One of those stays included my aunt and my three oldest grandsons (7,5,3). Here's my take on the Oceanana. It AIN't fancy and I don't consider this a resort but it does... more

The Oceanana should be ashamed that it calls itself a "resort". There's nothing here that would appeal to anyone born after the second world war. The playground area is a joke, with homemade contraptions that would be better served as medieval torture devices. The refrigerators in the rooms will barely keep a drink cool on high and the air conditioning... more

I can't believe this is advertised as anything resembling a "resort." Having decided on a last minute weekend at the beach we booked a room at the Oceana. Upon arrival we were shocked. Do families really stay here? Our room (as all of the rooms are) was entered directly , I mean directly (3 1/2 ft) from the parking area!... more

This was my first trip to the Atlantic Ocean, we had drove 7 hours, it was worth the trip. I loved the hotel being so close to the ocean. I got up early to watch the sun come up from the peir and was greeted with such friendliness by the staff. The beach is beautiful and I would not trade... more

My family - Husband, Wife, 16 and 14 year old boys, have just returned home from a five day, four night vacation at the Oceanana Resort Motel. We had a GREAT time. The motel that we have stayed at for the past nine years every summer, has been torn down, so we made reservations at the Oceanana this year. We... more

We planned a trip to Atlantic Beach and was going to attend the Tall Ships Sail in nearby Morehead City / Beaufort area. We (there were 2 families going together) found this Family Resort that offered nightly rentals so we decided to stay there! The outside views are decent but notice they do not show any close up views of... more

My family had always stayed at this resort since I was a child. After I graduated school we didn't go for a few years. But we all got back together this year & took a trip. Well, I can't say I don't like it b/c I do. What I can say is the staff is not so friendly. Like I... more
