Just got back from a couple of very relaxing days at the Windjammer. I only live about 45 minutes away and this hotel makes a great quick get-away for me. The prices, in the off-season, cannot be beat. I always find the staff to be very helpful and friendly. If you're looking for a 5 star hotel, this may not... more

I stayed at the windjammer January of 2008 and was very pleased. It is an older hotel and the wall paper was peeling on one spot in room. However overall the room looked updated and clean. Excellent view from the fourth floor. I don't think I would book a second story room, the dunes might be in the way of... more

We were recently at Atlantic Beach for the Seafood Festival and stayed at the Windjammer Inn again. Once again we had a great time. We had a full oceanfront room for $100 per night which seemed to be about the best around because of the busy weekend. It appears they have done remodeling-new deck. This is now the place we... more

We travel quite a bit so we always check with tripadvisor on a location we will be staying at. The reviews for this hotel are so over rated or these people have never stayed at a 3-4 star hotel. When we called the staff they told us that yes, coffee machines in the rooms, refrig and micro wave, wi-fi, nice... more

We were with a group of four families and were just passing through and needed a place to stay for the night. I'm glad we only had to stay here one night. Pool and hot tub were nice, but you couldn't enjoy it for the mosquitos. This is not the hotels problem, but the abundance of mosquitos inside in the... more

Friendly staff, helpful area info. You need to be on the second floor or above to have an ocean view. The pool and hot tub / spa areas were very clean and neat. All tables and chairs around pool looked fairly new. Landscaping was being done while we were there. Rooms were fine. I think this is the best you... more

Through researching the hotels in Atlantic Beach, I found out that everything is overpriced. The rooms at the Windjammer were outdated and the bed was hard. The hallways smelled very musty. However, the plus side was the balcony and the jacuzzi room had a huge jacuzzi and was relaxing after a long day of scuba diving. more

My family and I just stayed at the Windjammer Inn for the weekend and enjoyed most of our stay. From the 2nd floor up, all the rooms have a lovely oceanfront view and a small private balcony. We were on the 2nd floor and we could slide the curtains open and gaze at the ocean from every portion of the... more

Great location. A bit away from the busiest part of Atlantic beach. Very clean place. Shows pride of ownership. They have a swimming pool and nice landscape. Take the elevator down to the beautiful beach. It's within a few steps. The beach is next to a modest fishing pier and there were several surfers in the water. They seem to... more

My husband and I spent 3 nights at the Windjammer, and we loved this hotel! The location is very convenient, right in Atlantic Beach, which is nice for side trips to Morehead City and Beaufort. I was impressed with the room, which had updated and very tasteful decor (not the 80's style curtains and bedspreads that you sometimes see). The... more
