We just went to camp at K River Campgrounds. I am usually not a big fan of privately owned RV parks and campgrounds as they are usually small and uneventful but this place was wonderful. We stayed in campsite 2 that was right next to the water and if you get a chace to visit I would say this is the best spot in the whole place. We met the owner Tom who was always around to answer questions about what was and was not an arrowhead. Tom's grandson Charlie delivered firewood, firepit and a picnic table to our site. He also helped us out when we went canoeing. The weekend that we were here they were having a metal detecting and gold panning meeting which was a ton of fun. We also went canoeing down the Kiamichi River with our 5 & 8 year old and it was a nice float. I cannot say enough good things about this site and the friendly people running it and staying there.
