Mountain Hideaway B&B is true to its name. This is the place to go if you’re looking to get away from it all for a couple of days without having to give up the luxury. It is about 20 miles outside of Ashland up a somewhat windy road so it’s not the place if you want to be in the middle of town. We did nonetheless catch a nighttime play in town and didn’t find the drive back too bad. The B&B itself is nestled amidst a beautiful forested mountain terrain. Deer and wild turkey wander across the front lawn and the surroundings are very picturesque. There’s a lot of good hiking in the area and much good wandering to do right from the door. It’s like going camping except enormously more comfortable. This is truly a spectacular section of Earth, a wonderful place in the midst to be.
