We always stay here when we come to Ashland for the plays because it's the only place within walking distance of the theatres that accepts pets, two requirements for us. It's perfectly adequate, but aside from its location it's a bit below standard for the price. There's always some kind of problem, and the front desk may or may not... more

Bard's Inn served well for our three-night stay in Ashland. The motel is located an easy walk to the Shakespeare Festival theaters and is also within walking distance of most of Ashland's best restaurants. There are obviously older and newer sections of this motel; we had an upstairs room in the older wing. Our double room wasn't exactly spacious, and... more

Room 792 was extra large and worth the extra money. Spotless room, friendly staff. Skipped the continental breakfast. Great for travel with our infant. more

We stopped in Ashland on our trip down to Lake Tahoe, so we picked the place to stay overnight (not to make it the home base of our vacation). I guess it was the off-season, the hotel had a GREAT discount for us. They had availability, front desk staff was very personable & accommodating. We felt this was a safe... more

I stayed here for the Shakespeare Festival, and you can't beat the location. It's 2 blocks to the theaters. When I stayed at this hotel last year, I was in one of the newer buildings and the room was great. This year I was in what I guess is the old section, and it was kind of...not that great. The... more

I stayed here for four nights with a companion. We had room 101 in the old building. The layout was spacious, with two entirely separate bedrooms and the bathroom in between, but one bedroom faces busy Hwy. 99 and is noisy. Rooms were also very dark. Also, we noticed on the third day that all of the windows were unlocked!... more

We spent two nights at this hotel. I reserved a Queen suite after watching the virtual tour on the hotel website. When we arrived at the hotel we were given a room that was nothing at all like the website had shown. I asked the desk clerk if we could have a different room since the one she gave us... more

Without the help of TripAdvisor, our family booked a stay here while traveling through Oregon based on our prior experiences at Best Western. Big mistake. Apparently we stayed in the older wing because this was the worst hotel experience I've had and, to add insult to injury, the corporate office refused to provide full compensation or complementary night's stay. I... more

Based on a previous reviewer, and where they had assigned us, we immediately asked for an upgrade to a room in one of the newer buildings. I was a little confused on whether they were going to comp this upgrade or charge me. Two employees gave me different information. They charged me. The room, across the street (99) from the... more

We stayed 3 nights with our 2 young kids (age 2 & 6). Our king suite (room 115) was in the old building and very small, the front room was totally filled with the bed, as was the back room. No ante-room, no couch, no patio etc. It was right next to the housekeeping room that was open all day... more
