I am ambivalent about the windmill. On the one hand, the rooms were clean and huge, with an awesome view of the ashland hills. This place is being "redeveloped' - one building on the site has reasonably nice, renovated suites. The rest of the property - 75% - is closed. They will be redeveloping it somehow in the future. The rooms are very clean and the staff is friendly and helpful. There have been some changes since they closed their front building, but none of that affected me. I've stayed at this hotel twice and both times have enjoyed it immensely. It hits all my 'buttons' for good value -- inexpensive, friendly, spacious rooms and LOTS of amenities (free bikes and tennis; nice pool; extensive breakfast; free coffee, tea & apples throughout the day; free shuttle to the Shakespeare theatre; and more!
