Not the greatest of hotels. I found a roach in the bathroom, which I killed with the phonebook. The air conditioner was on some sort of self timer, that could not be changed, and kept shutting itself on and off every 5 minutes, and was REALLY Loud!! Right across from Dorney, but I will pay a little more next time... more

Room had a terrible odor. Pool and hot tub were disgustingly dirty; kids swimming in their underwear and diapers. Welfare clients checking in. Police were called twice. Bugs in room. BUT IT WAS A GREAT LOCATION!!!! And we OVERPAID for the room through Entertainment.com - room rate was $169, whereas most people were paying $99. - and even that was... more

Room appeared fine when we arrived but when the lights went out - the bugs came out! I called the front desk at 12:30 a.m. and within a few minutes the night manager arrived at our door to inspect and he thankfully brought with him an offer to move to another room. While it was a pain moving in the... more

Believe all these bad reviews. The keycard reader on my door broke and my son and I were locked out of our room for a half hour, in wet bathing suits, while they hunted down their maintenance man. He was offsite and had the only master key. The staff was reasonably responsive, but only after I convinced them that the... more

I booked a non-smoking room at this hotel a month in advance... after having a horrible day flying across the county, I finally get there late at night. First, the man at the front desk tells me that my reservation -which he had the information for - was never confirmed in the first place. Made me wonder why I never... more

The condition of the hotel and room was very disappointing. I stayed in a suite in the newer section of the hotel. There were ants in the bathroom, heavy mold near the toilet and a cigarette burn on the toilet seat. The mattresses were covered in a thick plastic that made them very uncomfortable and noisy. The ice machine was... more

The place was horrible. People at customer servise were mean and nasty. The whole place and the room smelled like weed. We reserved a room and they couldnt find the reservations so they gave us a room anyways, in the end when we walked into that room there was clothes all other , so apperantly somebody was already booked into... more

After deciding to surprise the kids with a two-day trip to Dorney Park, we choose this hotel based on rates & location. The (much cheaper!) rates should have been a tip-off that this hotel is below average. Our room had a very moldy/unkept bathroom, very thin linens, and lumpy/smelly mattresses. Our carpet had a myriad of stains, as did the... more

Well I thought I'd give Howard Johnsons in Allentown a try based on the reviews here. Don't let the posted picture fool you. This place isn't new, ins't just across the street from the amusement park and is dank, dirty and very run down. It's not comparable to a Holiday Inn Express. Maybe comparable to a Days Inn. Our problem... more

We had the opportunity to stay at this hotel in the middle of our 5 day road trip doing campus visits with our teenagers and small dogs during Spring Break. This place was a welcome break with its indoor swimming pool and jacuzzi. They gave us a room right across the hall from the pool, so I only had to... more
