We stayed at this hotel while visiting family. Chose the hotel because it allowed pets - which we very fortunately ended up not bringing because there was no way we'd have had space for our dog in this room. Initial impression was that the desk staff were very nice. The stay went down hill quickly from there. We will never... more

Although nearly every other facet of my stay at this hotel was acceptable, the presence of a $5 "Value Added Services" charge which put the actual cost of the stay on the final bill to an amount over the advertised rate was enough to convince me that this hotel deserves a Traveler Beware warning sign. When I asked about the... more

Checked in for one night. Had booked thru Priceline for $40. Had called ahead to request double beds, told no problem. When we arrived they had us booked for a king and would only give us doubles for an additional $20. I was furious. The hotel could not have had more than 10 rooms occupied that night. The additional charge... more

I booked this hotel thru Expedia, it was one of their special 'picks', special indeed but not for good reasons. The hotel has a three star rating, not sure how. I will say the room and bathroom were clean, in fact the smell from the bathroom cleaner was almost overpowering when we arrived. There was a nice refrigerator and microwave.... more

I'm surprised at the negative reviews below. We had a good stay at this Howard Johnson's in November '08. Our room was clean and the bed was comfortable. All systems (ventilation, plumbing, lighting) worked fine. I will say that our first impression of the place wasn't great - for example, the hallway carpeting is an ugly institutional beige and the... more

This was a very overpriced, poorly kept hotel. The room was okay but the bedding was dirty and the pool was absolutely disgusting_ dirty and moldy and very poorly maintained. The so-called "Continental" breakfast was lame and in a very crowded corner of the lobby. Had I known, we would have stayed in a much better place for minimally more... more

Not the greatest of hotels. I found a roach in the bathroom, which I killed with the phonebook. The air conditioner was on some sort of self timer, that could not be changed, and kept shutting itself on and off every 5 minutes, and was REALLY Loud!! Right across from Dorney, but I will pay a little more next time... more

Room had a terrible odor. Pool and hot tub were disgustingly dirty; kids swimming in their underwear and diapers. Welfare clients checking in. Police were called twice. Bugs in room. BUT IT WAS A GREAT LOCATION!!!! And we OVERPAID for the room through Entertainment.com - room rate was $169, whereas most people were paying $99. - and even that was... more

Room appeared fine when we arrived but when the lights went out - the bugs came out! I called the front desk at 12:30 a.m. and within a few minutes the night manager arrived at our door to inspect and he thankfully brought with him an offer to move to another room. While it was a pain moving in the... more

Believe all these bad reviews. The keycard reader on my door broke and my son and I were locked out of our room for a half hour, in wet bathing suits, while they hunted down their maintenance man. He was offsite and had the only master key. The staff was reasonably responsive, but only after I convinced them that the... more
