It's been 4 years since my husband and I stayed at the Briar Patch. The grounds have a clay tennis court although it looked like it had been a long time since it was used. There were several beautiful azalea bushes on property but we spent little time outside our room except walking back and forth to our car. The 2 rooms are located in an attached but private building from the owner's residence in a converted stable and tackroom. Just inside the entry door is a small area that separates the two rooms with a guestbook and a small fridge. We stayed in the room to the right. The room to the left was unoccupied at the time but was unlocked. We took a peek--it had two twin beds and appeared clean and taken care of. It had an attached bathroom. The decorating trended toward chenille and flowers--too girlish for our tastes. Our room on the other hand was more masculine with antiques and hunter/horse theme accents in earth tones.
