This is the BEST place to stay in Aiken! I almost hate to recommend it in case it becomes too popular. We've stayed twice and will ALWAYS stay here when in Aiken and Augusta. We stayed out the Houndslake during a soccer tournament. The staff was friendly and most accomidating. The word "No" was never mentioned for anything we asked for. Definately a pleasant expierence and when we come back to defend our title (again!), we will for sure book our accomidations here. more

The Guest House is very comfortable with nice touches and well positioned for leisure and eating. Just a little bit different from the run of the mill hotel. Reception staff are exceptionally friendly. more

We spent two nights in Aiken, SC visiting friends. Had originally booked a chain hotel but our friends strongly recommended staying at The Guest House at Houndslake. We thought it would be too pricey being part of a golf resort/club (and we don't play golf) but were pleasantly surprised to find that it was actually $5 less than the chain... more
