This quaint little inn has everything you need, in a great central location for a great price. There is food available at all times if needed in the kitchen area. I been back multiple times and would highly recommend to all responsible visitors.

Once again, the Alamo Inn has proven to be the best base for birders visiting the Rio Grande Valley. No other lodging facility in the region caters so well to birders, with an excellent store, custom breakfast and lunch options, very spacious and comfortable rooms, and superb hospitality.

We booked for 3 nights but stayed for five. the rooms are clean and roomy. More like apartments. We are not birders, but were open minded and wound up learning a lot and went to several wildlife refuges in the area. The price is right the people are nice.
