Having just stayed at a Comfort Inn and Suites in Monroe, LA, which was excellent, we expected the same out of this Comfort Inn and Suites in Amarillo. We were disappointed. The property is not well maintained and has more than its share of problems given its age. Our room (they have a lot of nerve calling it a suite because it has a sofa and a "partial divider") had bare electrical wires exposed on the floor next to the heating and cooling unit. My family stayed at this hotel on our way to the Grand Canyon. It is not to far from the Big Texan and we were able to call the Big Texan to get a free limo ride to the restaurant and back to the motel.
