Pros: the front desk person was nice, pleasant and helpful reasonable rate cons: 1)looks can be deceiving,it looks nice when you walk in the front, but,if you have a coupon, they will put you in the west wing where the crappy area is. 2)as soon as I walked in the room it reeked of marijuana and cigarette smoke and asked for a non... more

Unfortunately, because I want to experience the nostalgia of Route 66, we passed through this disguised hotel along I-40. God damn coupon book. Looking from the outside is amazing, the landscaping lights that hit the newly painted wall creates an illusion that you're gonna stay in one of the hotel in Vegas Strip. I checked in the lobby and while... more

This place was absolutely filthy. I opened the bed to find a bug in the sheets. The sheets are thin and have small holes here and there, so I lie awake half the night wondering if I was getting bedbug bites. While sitting on the toilet, you see under the sink counter and it had not been even swept for... more

When we walked into our room at 4pm the AC was not turned on waiting for us. The room was hotter than it was outside. We left and went to dinner and did some shopping and when we came back it wasn't that comfortably cool. The pool was enjoyed by our kids but wasn't that clean. Kinda sketchy. The doors... more

We had read the bad reviews but were in a group and everyone was staying here. First, the good: The art work was nice. There was an iron and coffee pot. We did get service when we went to the front desk, which we had to do many times. Now: We were in a room by the pool, supposedly renovated.... more

For the $44.95 flashing on the huge marquee outside, this place is not bad for Amarillo, if you're in the front "newly remodeled" section. Otherwise, it's plain scary. For the $100 or so on major travel sites, it's a terrible deal. The rooms in the new section are clean and spacious, but still has stains in the carpet, holes in... more

We stayed here with our gymnastics team, because it was one of the few places left with rooms. I checked out internet stuff before we left and the pics looked decent although the reviews were a bit scary. When we arrived, the lobby had be recently remodeled (meaning new carpet, coat of paint and light fixtures - the old was... more

We were passing through Amarillo and needed an economical hotel that wasn't scary. We're not familiar with Amarillo, and since it was dark when we got there, we didn't venture off the highway. The hotel looks pretty good from the front, and the lobby was really nice. The sign out front said 39.99 for a single, (double was 49.99) but... more

I stopped here because of coupon found in a travel magazine. When I arrived their sign was flashing "rooms 39.99 " The lobby was very nice and the rooms that opened in to the indoor courtyard appeared nice too......but that is NOT what I was given. Because I was not willing to pay a MUCH larger amount I was placed... more

The outside of the building looks pretty nice, and the location is great for several dining choices. The lobby is older, but actually looks pretty nice. we thought we got a good deal based on the pretty lobby. our room was wwaayyyyy in the back, and that's when the nightmare began. the back of the motel is very very old,... more
