The smell from the nearby stockyards is overpowering. The mattress was old and sagging. The batteries in the TV remote were dead. The bathroom fixtures were...ugh...just plain nasty. And the service at check-in was extremely slow for no apparent reason. more

We reserved two rooms at the Econo Lodge in Amarillo, TX. We were traveling with an elderly couple and had specifically asked for a handicap or senior room with a king bed and had paid a higher rate for such room.
