We stayed at the Travelodge West in Amarillo in January 2009. We paid $35.99 + state tax $2.16 + city tax $3.24 . A total of $41.39 for a double room, two beds for 2 people. We used a discount coupon, the type found in gast stations/tourist office. I think we also stayed here 3 years ago and it was... more

After taking a shower I walked across the floor in my barefeet and was shocked by how dirty the carpet was. Looking closer everything was dirty. Don't stay there. It was pretty awful! And, the dogs barking in the night were something else....ick! more

Myself and my husband stayed at the Travelodge in Amarillo as a stopover for one night. What a horrible experience!! The room was dirty, shabby and noisy. The air conditioner was broken and full of dust, dirt and spiders webs. There was a great deal of noise from the room above at 4.00am, dogs barking in the night, noise from... more

It would be interesting to find the history of this motel. It has a large two story lobby where they serve the free breakfast. They offer free WiFi, but coverage can be spotty. Nice clean rooms. There was some problems with noise from the parking lot when several motorcycles pull up around midnight. Guests can use the adjunct health club,... more

I picked this motel because it was on our way to our destination and pet friendly. I was really unsure about this property, but we only needed a clean bed and a shower. I was pleasantly surprised by how clean the room was and how friendly the front desk was. I would recommend staying here especially since for us it... more

I couldn't believe my room was available for just $40. Everything was clean. The internet and air conditioning worked wonderfully. The guy at the front desk was very nice and informative. I liked the location; it was close to everything from good restaurants to the highway (I-40). I also rented a fridge/microwave for $5 and it was brought to my... more

The outside of the Hotel needed some improvements and so did the pool. The room was newly updated and clean. Breakfast was cereal and bagels with milk and juice. The staff was helpful, but did not know why internet was not working. The value was good for the price. more

We stayed here for one night on a road trip and we were pretty pleased with the place. Our room was comfortable and a good size. The hotel was easy to find and in a good location for nearby restaurants. The only reason for the 4 versus a 5 is that there were a few areas that could have been... more

I had a reservation for two nights, but left early. Even though I had a reservation, and was a woman traveling with her child, I was given a room as far away as possible from the lobby, on the backside of the property. The room was filthy. I would never stay here again. more

The room that I was originally given had a broken door latch (torn from the wall). They gave me a different room, but it was apparent from the condition of the latch in the new room (missing one of two screws) that the latches were in general pretty substandard. What bothered me at least as much were the roaches on... more
