I picked this hotel because I belong to the Choice Hotels loyalty program, I was familiar with this area of town and it was a reasonable price. How awful is this place? Let me count the ways.... Nasty reception, complete with tongue ring and kurt mouth Hallways smelled like an overdose of perfume that costs a penny a gallon Gang members flashing signs in the halls....and we hadn't even gotten to the room yet! The room was large, the bed was very comfortable.The receptionist was very pleasant & very helpful in directions & recommendations on things to do. The mgr/owners live upstairs, they watch you unpack.The continental breakfast is from 5am to 9am & not one minute past. They will not allow you to get a cup of coffee if it's after 9am, they... more

I had to be in Austin overnight this week (4/27-4/28) and needed a quick place to stay. Chose the Ramada Limited because of the name and the price ($40.00/night).
