I stayed at this hotel for 3 nights for a conference. The conference had a special rate of $175/night. I believe the regular rate is something like $225/night. It was a comfortable stay as the room had the expected amenities - nice sheets, comfortable bed, marble counter bathroom. The room also had a small couch & coffee table which was... more

This was one of the best Hiltons that we have stayed in. Pros: Upon, check in, we were greated by friendly staff. He saw that we were traveling with kids and just offered to put us a corner room. The corner room was great-so much more room for kids to run around in and we didn't feel cramped at all.... more

Very nice upscale hotel. Clean rooms, nice lobby, and very attentive and friendly staff. Others have noted you do end up paying for "extras" like wireless Internet in your room (free in the lobby), and the food prices are outrageous (although to be fair it was very good). This place is definitely geared to the conference/convention crowd, and in that... more

The Good: Can't beat the downtown location, the bed is super comfortable, and the room is spacious with a great view. The Bad: These guys nickel and dime you at every chance they get. $15/day for internet!?! (In 2009, there really is no excuse for this) $16/day for parking? (In Austin, this is highway robbery) And the pièce de résistance,... more

I recently atttended a conference at the Hilton Austin hotel. The customer service at all levels was exceptional. I do not say this lightly. I work for a company that provides a hallmark training program on Five Star Client Service and I am very picky. Great job Hilton, Austin. more

Lively downtown hotel. Very well-situated, close to downtown restaurants and bars and bats! (Don't miss the bats coming out from under the Congress Street Bridge about dusk.) Friendly and courteous staff. We enjoyed a spacious room on a high floor with a good view of the city lights. Self-park or valet for the car. more

10 Jun 2009 | Trip type: Family

I rented 5 rooms for immediate family to attend our son's wedding. Other guests occupied many other rooms. Everyone raved about how much they enjoyed the hotel. The rooms were very clean and nicely furnished. Guests walked to worship, night life, etc. The wedding and reception were in the Hilton's conference room and ballroom. Both were excellent. Meals were served... more

Our stay at this hotel went smoothly, like it does at nearly all the Hilton group hotels. What was really outstanding was the meal in the restaurant. The Cheese/honeycomb appetiser and mahi mahi and mango butter entree were very impressive. There was a feeling that the chef was really proud of what he was producing. All staff were very helpful... more

Stayed here for the National Hurricane Conference at the Convention Center. Very clean and excellent location for access to the Convention Center across the street. The only drawback was the lack of a moderately priced restaurant open for dinner in the hotel. Liberty Tavern was open for breakfast/lunch only. more

The Austin Hilton is a good hotel. It is in an excellent location, and almost everything in Austin is close to the hotel. The rooms are clean, but it is very noisy if the room is below the 15th floor. While the hotel is what one would expect from a Hilton, the employees and management know that they are one... more
