I celebrated my 30th birthday close to home, but stayed downtown at this hotel. Many of my friends met there at the bar before we headed out. The service, rooms, and overall feel of the hotel are amazing. more

Don't listen to all the complainers, we've had an excellent time there. The rooms are beautiful... the turn down service was great... staff was excellent... Kudos to the bartender! Will be returning again! Made our vacation one of the best we've had yet.. and we travel frequently. more

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at Mansion at Judges' Hill. I have read previous unflattering reviews and have to say that I did not experience any of those things! I came for a weekend with a dear friend for shopping/relaxing/visiting and we found the hotel to exceed all expectations. The Mansion at Judges' Hill is a BOUTIQUE hotel. It is... more

The room was BADLY shopworn, and the bathroom lighting was a complete joke - I had to stand by the window with a mirror to even put on lipstick straight! Not what I expected for the price. It's as if no one thought about what would make someone's stay pleasant and convenient. Also, doors were being slammed up and down... more

Just returned from 2 nights at The Mansion this week. The first night I was given the "dreaded little room beside the check-in desk." Even the front desk employee seemed sorry to hand me the key. In their defense, I booked a room at this hotel after they had a cancellation so I had a feeling...... It was a tiny... more

Hotel is very densily built around courtyard and open garage. So, the noise is really horrible if you stay at the courtyard side. For the rest, the hotel is ok-ish, nothing special, although I like the historic mansion where the restaurant is located. more

I stayed at the mansion for my sister’s wedding and was very happy with it over all. The rooms were beautiful and seemed very rich and fine. My room was a standard hotel size but the bathroom was pretty impressive. My sister’s room was enormous and had a huge glass walk-in shower, a nice sitting area, a big king size... more

Thank you for your compliments about your guest room. We’re thrilled you enjoyed its features! As a small, boutique property, there are some amenities at this time, such as 24 hour room service & maid service that are unavailable. With a Guest Services Representative at the Front Desk 24 hours, we do our best to assist with any afterhours requests....

Stayed here for a weekend business trip. Thought it would have been a nice retreat from the standard business hotels since we didn’t need all the normal computer access. I'll start with a positive. In general the hotel was very clean. The bathrooms especially were VERY nice. The room was a basic hotel room. Now, here’s why I would never... more

We appreciate that you noticed we take pride in the cleanliness of our guest rooms! Our hotel is located on the northern side of downtown by the University. While we enjoy being only a couple miles from the inner parts of downtown, mainly 6th Street, we feel that part of our charm is that our location, while being convenient, still...

My wife and I have stayed here a number of times in the past few years while our children were students at the University of Texas. I like it because it is away from the hustle and bustle of Downtown and the U. Texas campus , which both can be roudy, I have stayed here on nights of football games,... more

This hotel feels very much like a retirement home or assisted living facility, albeit a nice one. The decor is generic. Not elegant and definitely not at all hip which is fine if you're getting something beautiful in return. Our hallway included something that looked like a "nurses station" but was really a room where the mostly surly housekeeping staff... more
