Though I only stayed here briefly for a conference, this hotel was outstanding. Staff were very customer-oriented, and the facility was clean, quiet and comfortable. Restaurant was reasonably priced, and the selection of entrees was very nice. Liked the ability to check out online and have my folio sent to my inbox. Location of the hotel is convenient to downtown... more

I have been to Austin a number of times and would rate this hotel as average. I was there during a humid week and the in-room air conditioner could not pull out the moisture...so it was cold and wet. The balcony was nice, the staff very friendly, the rooom a bit small, the layout neat, the elevator doors made a... more

This hotel is, as others have indicated, "slightly" out of the way as it is across the bridge from downtown. It was a 10-15 minute walk to the convention center though. Hotel was fairly recently upgraded and does not show its age except around the edges. Nice gym, nice rooms. Only complaint about the rooms was that they should have... more

Stayed here with husband and daughter room was$300pn ++. Bottled water in bathroom $4.75 extra, bed hard , tiny and uncomfortable, one shampoo one conditioner one body lotion, 2 coffees thats it. Not impressed really. The hotel was fine if you are at a wedding or a conference but a bit of a walk to 6th street otherwise. Of course... more

Traveling with two young children is never easy. The Hyatt on Town Lake has been a favorite of mine since I attended college in Austin. Having moved away ten years ago, I now travel back often and stay here for business and pleasure trips. The rooms had gotten a bit worn and dated (we stayed at the Hyatt on a... more

Had to use this hotel for a conference - I was very pleased with the hotel staff. They were consistently accommodating and helpful - at the front desk, the concierge, and the waitstaff for our conference meals. The location was very good - walking distance of south Congress St and 2nd St area shopping, the bat bridge, 4th and 6th... more

This hotel was great, right on the lake in Austin. Rooms were very nice and clean. Wish we could have stayed longer. Would definitely go back next time I'm in Austin. more

This hotel was an excellent choice! I went for ACL weekend - and made the reservation last minute that week and they luckily had availability. They upgraded me to a river view room on the 10th floor which was nice. Rooms are clean, standard size (300 sq ft), newly renovated and has everything you need for a pleasant stay -... more

We stayed at this Hyatt location back in June of 2008 and had a HORRIBLE stay. Mostly because the lack of attention during housekeeping times but also from a couple of the staff that were snotty. After writing a letter of complaint to the General Manager, we received multiple apologies and an offer to stay at the hotel again with... more

The actually hotel is a little disappointing - it's obviously been recently renovated with new furniture, but the hotel needs more of a serious overhaul (the structure itself feels very old and dark; the bathrooms are super small, the tile is very dated). That being said, we got a suite for a very reasonable price, and the location is great... more
