I had read a lot of reviews for budget hotels in the Austin area when I booked this place and for $60/night, my stay at the Baymont Inn met (even exceeded) my expectations. My fiance and I stayed there for 3 nights while we were in town to find an apartment for our move to Austin in September. My experience:... more

After reading many comments in different web sites, and because the location was so closed by the place I had to be early next morning, I took a change and I booked this hotel. This was my experience: - Front desk very helpful - I read the comment " scary neighborhood" You may see some homeless and weird people at... more

This was our second stay at the Baymont, our first being in August of 2007. We felt it was a great value then at only $44/ night, and the location was convenient to UT. This time we were searching for a motel for less than $100/ night, and decided to return to the Baymont for only $69/ night. Our adjoining... more

The Baymont Inn Austin was a convenient location for my recent trip down for SXSW -- there was relatively easy access on and off of I-35, and less than a 10 minute drive to downtown Austin. The front desk staff was extremely friendly and accommodating, but there were no non-smoking rooms available when I checked in, thus I had to... more

My best friend and I recently stayed at this motel for a couple of nights during our visit to Austin for Thanksgiving. After reading previous reviews, I wasn't sure how this place was going to hold up, but we were pleasantly surprised. Check-in was very easy and there was plenty of parking. Luckily, we had a room on the first... more

I was forewarned from previous feedback that this hotel was formerly a La Quinta, but did not realize that it had not been updated or improved at all. Upon arriving I was immediately put off by the debris-strewn parking lot, and that it was actually a motel (meaning you part in front of your room), rather than a hotel. Upon... more

I stayed here for three nights during ACL. My room was clean (with the exception of a little mold (or other discoloration)) in the shower. I didn't try the room service (and woke up too late for the free breakfast), but since the motel is located right next to a Denny's and across the street from a convenience store, getting... more

I would steer clear of this hotel unless you absolutely cannot find anything else available. The room was passable and mostly clean although the bathroom ceiling was covered with mildew. The exterior of the building, stairs and corridors looked like they had not been cleaned in many years. I understand this used to be a LaQuinta and it appears so.... more

After a bad Baymont Inn experience in Houston, we were afraid of another Baymont Inn night. We checked the room first, before checking in. No problems here. The staff was very nice and helpful. The room was clean and comfortable. The children had a great time in the pool. Everything worked. Breakfast was okay. The only drawback we can mention... more

I must disagree with the reviews I read on this site for this Baymont. The only thing I can surmise is that people have different standards as to what “clean” means. The First Room The first room the manager gave me was on the first floor around the back. It didn't look too safe, but he assured me that it... more
