I had read about the resort in Southern Living and booked based on the article and good reviews on tripadvior.com. Firstly, when you book they don't tell you about several fees which will be added to the cost of your room. I thought the price we paid (aprox $179 a night) was a good deal until I realized all the... more

Cons: Swarms of bees at the pool, bottom line they shouldn't plant flowers that attract bees near where people are going to be. Pool Bar doesn't open until 12 P.M.- we got out to the pool at 9 AM, by the time the bar opened we were parched. No Poolside service- when I stay at a resort I expect waiters... more

Excellent hotel! Beautiful rooms and pool area and lobby! This hotel may be a little far from downtown Austin for some, but we loved getting away from city life. I would highly recommend this hotel. more

As we drove thru the Golf Resort area, I could not believe that this resort was tucked away in the back here. This is definitely a hidden GEM waiting to be discovered! The resort is located on Lake Travis. We booked for room with a balcony! It was the best money ever spent! I am glad we splurged an extra... more

Stayed here for my 20th anniversary. Greeted kindly, impressed with room. Large room, free internet that worked quickly, good coffee(Starbucks in room), gym was great for a hotel gym. (9 cardio pieces of equipment, some cybex weights).Gym open 24 hours a day, never crowded. Great view, we had room with private balcony,1st floor. more

We attended a conference at the hotel and I have to say that our experience here was nothing short of perfect! Our room had the most amazing view of Lake Travis with a very private balcony. We ate most of our meals on site at the restaurant. I didn't even see a bar at the restaurant so I'm not sure... more

Wonderful getaway on Lake Travis! Gorgeous rooms and lake views - a nice quiet retreat. Spa is really nice as well. Do come prepared to possibly not have a great nights sleep as the heater/ac units are quite old (same units as before the hotels remodel) anad they are very noisey when kicking on - making a loud thumpping noise.... more

I stayed for a long weekend and loved it. Half business and half romantic getaway with my new boyfriend. The resort is very well appointed and offers top notch service from the staff. The service is actually subtle and thoughtful. I particularly liked the two staff opening the front doors each time we entered the resort. The pools looked fabulous... more

We were excited to be staying at Lakeway on the shores of Lake Travis, but we were very let down. We paid extra for a room with a balcony that overlooked the lake. The balcony had a great view to the north, but to the south there was an enormous brick wall that blocked our view of the entire south... more

We stayed at Lakeway Resort after abandoning another hotel that was unacceptable. This resort is right on Lake Travis and offers spectacular views. The room is very well appointed, with a flat LCD TV, bath robes, Starbucks coffee, and free internet. Beds are very comfortable. The only minor gripe we had is they would not allow an early check-in. Surely... more
