I read other reviews that were not that great, but decided to check it out because the location was perfect and they also had suites which we needed because of our kids. We were in town on a last-minute trip on the same weekend as the motorcycle road ralley, and our choices were limited. Everything was fine. Service was great... more

We stayed for 4 nights to check out Austin for the first time. We found the location to be in the middle of everything we wanted to see - South Congress, Warehouse District, 6th Street and the Capitol. With a bus stop across the street, it's easy to get around town or just walk to where you are going. The... more

The location is good especially if you are working a convention as said hall is right down the street. However, the rooms are like an econo lodge. Smallish, no mini fridge and not much to speak of. Even the sleep number bed was wierd and hard to figure out. There is a TGI FRiday's downstairs but it's expensive. Breakfast is ten... more

I posted the following to Radisson after the email asking about the stay--still no response weeks later. Didn't care when we were there, didn't even respond to poor review. Whyndam Hotels from here on out!! We paid $171 from the radisson website, can't imagine paying more. We are in our 40's, I take at least 3 trips a year, including... more

This hotel is in a great location, especially if you are going to the convention center. You are easily in walking distance of both the things around downtown and also South Congress. Apparently, the TGI Fridays in the hotel is a great place to watch the bats. The workers were very helpful. The room was nice. There is an awesome... more

We booked this Radisson hotel purely for of it's central location for the SXSW music festival. They sent a very unprofessional e-mail to us at the end of February to say that they had cancelled our reservation due to refurbishments. We were relocated 5 miles outside Austin. Not really suitable if you do not have a car! more

Great location, go out the back door and you are on the lake trail. Free wifi in the lobby. Wish I had brought my earphones, we were on the 9th floor and the street noise kept me up. more

Convenient to capitol and 6th street. Great view of lake from our room and room was spacious. Enjoyed the convenience of "Starbucks" on site and "Fridays". We had not eaten at Fridays for years and must say we were impressed at how fresh and good the food was in fact we ate there several times! Two downsides, check in was... more

Booked this hotel through Priceline and got a heck of a deal. After booking, I emailed the property to request a non-smoking king, and they had no problems accomodating us. They gave us a large corner room with many windows overlooking Town Lake and the Congress Street Bridge. We fully expected to be in the basement after our Priceline bid.... more

This hotel really wouldn't be all that bad. . If it cost about $50 a night. I booked through Hotwire for ~$110 a night and feel slightly ripped off. If I'd paid the normal price of about $220 I would want my money back and would be getting the hell out of here. The entrance and lobby look nice, but... more
