Stayed two nights in July in a Suite. Very roomy, good plasma TV, great wireless Internet connection (although paid and expensive). The design of the hotel with doors facing a big courtyard is very nice. The hotel bar was very good, bartender gave great tips to which shows to see downtown. The breakfast restaurant was clean and waitress were nice... more

I was looking for a good pool area, and Renaissance Austin delivered. I've stayed there before, but it was for business, not pleasure. I received an email with Marriott e-Breaks and decided to check it out. We were able to stay for $111 a night. Not bad for a full service hotel. There were very few guests. Our room was... more

This hotel has some positives and negatives. First, the positives: it is clean, and its rooms are spacious. It's well located, with several chain restaurants, such as Cheesecake Factory and PF Changs, within walking distance, as well as a pleasant outdoor mall. There is also free parking, as well as valet parking (for a charge.) I would stay there again,... more

STayed here for a business conference. Hotel was very adequate and pleasant. The staff was friendly and accommodating. Room was quite large. Bath was a little dated but very clean. Housekeeping was timely and good. Didn't eat at the restaraunt but had french toast for room service one morning which was excellent. The other provided meals for conference was okay.... more

Have stayed at this hotel on more than one occassion. The hotel is beautiful, kept clean, and the staff generally friendly. On one of our trips, they gave our room away because we were a later evening check-in, so had to put us up in the Austin Downtown area, but at an equally nice hotel. The rooms are comfortable and... more

Renaissance Arboretum was beautiful! Absolutely the cleanest hotel I've ever stayed in. Really large room with comfortable chairs and ottoman and desk. Lovely lobby and hallways. Fast, convenient elevators (a separate one for the pool area). Perfect location for shopping and dining. Can walk outside hotel doors to many great stores like Pottery Barn, Coldwater Creek, Cheesecake Factory (great service... more

We have just returned from a wonderful weekend at the Renaissance in Austin, Texas. Our stay was amazing. The service was the best we have ever experienced. We enjoyed an afternoon at the Domain, where we spent time shopping at some fabulous stores and enjoyed a wonderful dinner at Joe Dimaggios. We also went to the Oasis and enjoyed the... more

My Husband had to be in Austin for work. So we were business travelers on the company dime and Hurricane Ike evacuees. It is a very nice hotel, but for a 4 star hotel - they charged for everything. Here are our reasons for being unhappy campers: 1:) Printing at the business center is ~$1 per page, Internet is $11... more

I stayed at the Renaissance during a one-night business trip to Austin, but it was my second time staying here. The front desk staff is always pleasant. The breakfast in the restaurant was great. I had a huge suite that was more room than I needed. All-in-all, a great stay. I wish it was closer to downtown. more

The hotel is impressive at first, but don't let the facade fool you. We stayed three nights in two different rooms - because of a conference at the hotel, we had to switch rooms the third night (which we knew ahead of time, so it wasn't an issue). However, the room we were in that third night had a horrible... more
