Daphne and Peter welcomed us into their beautiful home as if we were long family friends. Everything from the grounds, to the food, to the company was absolutely wonderful and I can't thank them enough for their warm hospitality.

This was our second trip to the Barsen House Inn. Peter and Daphne are perfect hosts, engaging, intelligent, friendly and present but not invasive. We loved sitting out by the fire pit in the evening with a bottle of wine. We brought our bicycles and enjoyed riding to Middlebury, Vergennes, and Basin Harbor.

wonderful inn, with excellent collection of art works by various Vermont artists. We loved the beautiful, hand-crafted wood furniture by artist/owner Peter and the delicious breakfasts by hostess/owner Daphne. Both Peter and Daphne were very congenial and helpful with all of our questions. Highly recommended.
