This was our first time staying at a B&B. We were definately not dissapointed. The inn keepers are the nicest people you could meet. We were always welcomed upon our return every evening. The food is out of this world! Cookies every day. Breakfast with local fresh ingriedients! Don't miss breakfast! The inn is very comfortable and the rooms are... More

My partner and I had the pleasure of staying in the 'Remember Baker' suite for two nights in late May. We had an exceptionally warm welcome from Kevin, Michael and Tracey upon our arrival and, after a glass of delicious local cider at the cozy fireside bar, we were shown to our room. We loved the original exposed cross beams... More

It wouldn’t be possible to say enough good things about the Ira Allen House B&B Inn. The inn is a 240-year-old house that has important historical connections--- a real treat for anyone who is interested in colonial American culture or Revolutionary War history. The owners have furnished the inn beautifully and with sensitivity to the past, preserving authentic 18th-century ambiance.... More

My husband and i spent a wonderful night at the Ira Allen B&B on our way to Saratoga Springs, N.Y. this spring. We had a quiet, restful night and a delicious breakfast the nest morning. We enjoyed looking at the historical artifacts and interesting collections throughout the B&B. Several of the rooms are suites that share a bath. This is... More

The ambience, comfort, and hospitality was perfection. The added bonus of a fabulous breakfast made our three night stay terrific. Coupled with Orvis Fly Fishing classes, you can't beat the pair. Can't wait to go back!

We have just spent two wonderful days at the Ira Allen House in Sunderland, VT. Partners Kevin, Michael and Tracey along with building consultant, Tim, became the new owners of the inn, which has been in existence for more than 200 years, at the end of last year, and have great plans for the property. The bedrooms and public spaces... More

We really enjoy staying at B&Bs... each has it's very own character and aura. Our favorite B&B by far is the Ira Allen House. We recently stayed there for the third time (over three years) and was pleasantly surprised that it just keeps getting better and better. And at $99.00 per night, it was most affordable. The home is under... More

This really was the perfect area to visit and the perfect guest house to stay in. The house belonged to Ethan and Ira Allen, of historical fame. The common rooms are very spacious and cozy with fireplaces everywhere. This very old house seems to be built amazingly well, nothing creaks the large rooms have terrific crossbeams and floorboards from another... More

Our family of five were refered to this home from a favorite inn down the same road. Our one night soon changed to three with our children asking if they could stay longer. Their home became our home by extending their hospitality and making us feel welcomed. I encourage this lovely spot for any family wanting a home away from... More
