Although we found the Battenkill Inn by happenstance three years ago, I can not imagine staying anywhere else in the Manchester area. Our 5th stay here was as enjoyable as our 1st - moreso, because we brought other family with us to see what we keep raving about! The Inn is easy to get to, far enough from noise, but close enough to Manchester, cozy, and well-maintained. The Innkeepers continue to astound us with their breakfast concoctions (they not only remember what we liked from previous visits, but were easily able to accommodate the dietary limitation of one of our party), and end-of-day treats are a pleasant homey touch. Fortunately, it was cool enough at night to light the fireplace - but not every room has one, so reserve early! We consider cost moderate, but an excellent value for service provided. We are already planning our next trip!! more
