Shepherd's Joy is a beautiful old farmhouse on a working sheep farm. Its setting is peaceful and quiet, even though it is only a short walk to all the attractions of downtown Abingdon. Our bedroom had windows on three sides, a lovely canopied bed, and an old clawfoot tub in the bathroom. Owners Joyce and Jack were extremely friendly and welcoming. Breakfast was excellent--substantial, but not heavy enough to weigh one down for the entire day. We look forward to returning for a future stay.

Jack and Joyce are the most hospitable and gracious hosts. Their victorian home is beautiful and our room was very nice and clean. Joyce is a fabulous cook and made us a gourmet breakfast that was delicious. We will be back to Sherpards Joy!
