We stayed here mid-October for a couple of nights - easy to find from directions by the owner who welcomed us warmly on a dark and rainy night. We were exhausted after a very long drive and would have preferred to go straight to the room to clean up rather than have the history of the house but went with the flow. We (or rather I) were very disappointed to find that the indoor pool was not working - that was the main reason we had chosen this particular B&B instead of any of the other likely choices in Abingdon as I do enjoy a swim whenever possible. We were given lots of advice on places to go, places to eat (The Tavern in Abingdon was excellent, I think it would have been very busy, hot and noisy earlier in the evening but by 7.30 ,when we had booked it had thinned out, - still can't believe how early people eat in the States) and how to enjoy the day we had in the area.
