Stayed for one night; the hotel is fairly new and rooms are typical Westin; clean and functional; although somewhat soulless. There is a small Executive Lounge for those with access serving limited snacks and soft drinks in the evening and a pretty basic selection of breakfast items in the morning. We spent 3 nights st the hotel and very very pleased. The rooms were large - large enough that 10 of us gathered to watch the Notre Dame football game and there were seats for everyone! more

The Westin is a great place to stay if you are sightseeing in DC or checking out the town of Alexandria. It is a five minute walk to the transportation center, which is for the metro and for the free trolley that takes you right in to Alexandria. The rooms were clean, spacious and tastefully decorated. My husband and I visited Old Town Alexandria Labor Day Weekend 2009 and stayed at Westin Alexandria. I was aware ahead of time of the valet parking but it turned out to not be a problem. A real pleasure - Westin seems to get it right every time! Right next door to the US Patent Office. Close walk (maybe 5 minutes) to the Metro. more

This place was awesome. We received an excellent rate by checking out their specials listed on their website. We got to the hotel late about 11:30 pm and check in was very easy. All of the staff was very friendly and the men operating the valet service always greeted us and opened the door when they weren't busy with customers.... more
