Best location of any hotel for walking around Alexandria, but hotel itself is disappointing. After my reservation they solicited for a room upgrade for nominal fee but they check-in clerk had no record of my upgrade request. Parking garage is probably the dirtiest I've ever been in. Beautiful hotel - the "living room" aka lobby was very welcoming and inviting with its dark blue walls and fireplace. This is a wonderful hotel with a great staff. You feel important the minute you walk into the lobby. Lovely hotel! Price goes up and down from a nice $130 to some nights being $250. I've stayed many times at this hotel and it's always a lovely evening with lots to do!!! Definitely a nice place to stay to end your night whether you're on vacation or on buisness. more
