Absolutely a great hotel with beautiful spacious rooms. Only 5 minutes from D.C and lots of attractions. An easy 20 minutes to Mt. Vernon and 10 minutes from Reagan airport. Truly a gem in a vast selection of accommodations. Will definitely stay there again!! more

The renovations at The Clarion Collection in Arlington seem to have drastically improved the hotel, judging by reviews from previous travelers. The rooms are well-appointed, relatively clean (we did find a cigarette butt on the floor of a non-smoking room). There is a free, full breakfast and even dinner some nights of the week. The front desk staff was incredibly rude and uncaring. We were treated like second rate citizens just checking in. Then, we were put in what was supposed to be a non-smoking room that was overwhelmingly smoky. I was able to change rooms but again was treated with disdain by the front desk clerk.
