Tradita Geg & Tosk Hotel and Restaurant, is located in Shkodra city. It is an old traditional house dating 1694, a nice traditional place, surrounded by an ethnography which Mr. Gjon Dukgilaj successfully transformed into a restaurant and hotel. Built with typical elements such as stones and wood, the interior is furnished, decorated with the old authentic objects and traditional costumes from the area. Seasonally the owner transforms the complex into a museum in order for the clients to enjoy the Albanian culture atmosphere.

A lovely traditionally decorated hotel & restaurant with very friendly and accommodating staff. The rooms were spacious, very clean and beautifully decorated. We were there for New Year's Eve and they had live music, the musicians were amazing! The food was delicious and we had an awesome time! Kudos to everyone who put the event together and the staff for all their efforts! The hotel is in walking distance from the old town which makes it great for checking out the centre. Highly recommended!

On way back from Theth on 15.10.23 (Sunday, 4pm) our three families stopped here for lunch and we were sitting outside as weather was great and place looked amazing. We ordered food from the menu. Zemer kau sallat was a worst bulk supermarket tomato without taste. The tradita sallat had sour dressing on it. Tave dheu was disgusting with super hard pieces of meat. The veal sausage was solid rock. The grilled pork meat was dry, burnt but still edible. The shishkebaps I cannot say because waiter told us one hour after taking the order that there is no more. Kids had pasta and it was OK. I heard great stories about this place from my friends in the past, mostly evening drinking with live music. Our experience was absolute disappointment. Never again.

I enjoyed my night at this hotel. The room was very spacious and comfortable. The outdoor seating area was very nice and there was live music in the evening. The food wasn’t too bad and there was plenty of it. I would be happy enough to stay here again.

The old bikes decorating the walls are the first attraction of this place. Located on walking distance of the center of Shkodre. Dinner is very nice with live music. The rooms are convenient and clean. It is a good base for the ferry Koman-Fierze. Therefore we left early in the morning supplied with coffee, tea and a complete and tasty breakfast package.

Thankfully we are only here for one night. Who in their right mind to have a band playing all night when you have hotel rooms right beside where the band is playing. Guess who wont be sleeping tonight. Avoid this hotel if you want to have a rest. Also no duvet in the room, the bathroom was flooded.

We stayed here on our way to Theth National Park one night basically because it was close to the valley and we came from far away so wanted to split up the drive. I was intrigued by the tranditional house originally dating back to 1694. The place is amazing and the communication was also very friendly before. They do have parking (was free when we were there). Wifi works as well and I actdually forgot to book a table in their hotel but when we arrived they just in case reserved us a table in the dining hall! And this was good because there was an event (traditional music-very enjoyable evening) and tables were all booked out. Food in the restaurant was amazing and service was very attentive and friendly! Music was perfect, not too loud but still lively and absolutely traditional party ambience. Rooms were very spacious with bathroom with shower. Beds very comfortable. I highly recommend to stop here at least for anight for the experience, it's really a cultural, culinary event (especially if they have life music playing! I would ask beforehand!) The place is located in the city, so not country side etc. so you have shops etc in walking distances available.

This is an old traditional hotel and looked lovely. The twin room was very spacious. A buffet breakfast was included but was very busy due to a coach party. There is a large courtyard to relax in. Some of the staff wore traditional clothes.

Shkoder has many adequate modern hotels. But if you fancy a taste of traditional Albania, Tradita is for you and an absolute delight. It's very comfortable, but built in the traditional style. Over the years the owner has gathered a magnificent collection of old photographs, traditional farm implements, folk dress and ancient bicycles. Great fun to see. These are on display throughout the buildings. Tradita has its own parking area; the receptionists will park your car for you. We were allocated a very comfortable room though not much space for storing your clothes. Tradita provides surely finest breakfast in the Balkans. It's taken in courtyard when weather allows, and is a wonderful spread of traditional food. Well worth trying to book a table for music night in Tradita's splendid old restaurant. The evening we were there the other guests were almost exclusively locals, or Albanians visiting from Kosovo, Montenegro etc – a good sign! In addition to all Tradita's other merits, the staff are extremely welcoming and endlessly obliging.

The hotel has great character! I wanted to love it. Unfortunately, the A/C was only good for the bed by it, but the other side of the room was too warm. The bed was VERY firm, like so firm that I pulled out the winter duvay and used it as a mattress pad. I enjoyed the authentic music; it did go late, so having ear plugs for an earlier bed time helps.
